Sheffield stands are easy to use by all. Unfortunately disabled access is restricted by a gate to the left. Disabled users have to call a number to access the castle.

Parking at the primary school makes the road dangerous. People parking on the pavement and blocking the road makes it dangerous to walk, wheel or cycle to school

Cycle path on Kings Park Avenue would be a strategic asset. It would be of great benefit.

Footpath from Philipshill Road to Carmunnoch Road is very narrow. Maybe a metre wide just now so could be double that.

There is no provision for cyclists to get from the town centre to the cycle path apart riding a busy 2 lane road or on the pavement.

A Narrow footpath that has been converted to shard use path (I assume, no one would design one so narrow, surely?). There is enough of a hard shoulder on the slip road to widen the footpath in this location

Toucan crossing takes too long to stop traffic - many many people just run across the road nearer the roundabout to avoid having to walk up to the crossing point and wait for ages.

I had intended to head west through to the Cathkin Braes mountain biking site, but the path was too muddy to cycle, so I headed in the opposite direction instead.

A hostile road environment for anyone cycling to the Kingsgate Retail Park. The roundabout decoration does nothing to improve it.

Cycle parking at Sainsbury's Kingsgate store, as far from the front door as possible, only convenient for the fire door, and attracting a predictable level of usage.

The cycle route along the Whitemoss Avenue shared footway is signed into the park, including a rather steep bit of path at the corner (seen also in #107580).

Route signs at the Whitemoss Roundabout for the cycle route to Brancumhall, but the Health Centre pointed to is not the closest health centre to this location, and so could be confusing.

A new 'No Entry' sign for the resurfaced cycle off-ramp from Churchill Avenue at the Murray Roundabout, but no longer any signs for local routes 2 and 3. So close to the town centre, but no wayfinding.

The accumulating mud on the cycle track at the Righead Roundabout shows that, despite conditions, people are using it. The underpass on the right leads to cycle tracks on the other sides of the roundabout.

The railway footbridge from Tennant Avenue to Eaglesham Road (and towards Hairmyres Hospital) has steps at one end, and they look like they need replacing, so let's have a ramp instead.

The path from Queensway to Tennant Avenue appears to suffer from ponding, and is covered in mud. There's also no easy way onto the carriageway for cyclists due to the parking.

The steps on the southwest side of the Queensway footbridge have been shut due to deteriorating concrete, leaving only the steps to the southeast for users. Perhaps it's time this footbridge was replaced.

Not only has the footbridge got steps and no ramp, but it is also in the way of the Queensway shared-use footway.

Is this the correct sign for a narrowing with barriers?

I didn't venture further than this excavation to see how little stands in the way of connecting Carmunnock Road to Stewartfield Way and the East Kilbride path network.

Carmunnock Road ends within sight of Stewartfield Way, and has the potential to connect with the East Kilbride path network and provide a cycle route to Glasgow.

There's a bend ahead if you can get through the flytipping!

Sharp and narrow turn on crossing on NCR 756. Lamp post further obstructs turning space for bicycle.

Extremely busy crossing on NCR 756. Either have to step out into traffic when queuing or wait for driver to give way. Pedestrian island between lanes is barely wide enough to accommodate bicycle.

The shared footway (although there has been no sign to say so) goes through a bus stop without any widening. Luckily for me, a bus had just left.

Why can't the corner be more rounded? What are the bollards for? Why isn't there a distance for the town centre? The cycle route doesn't even go as far as the town centre. It gives up on Queensway at #31505.

East Kilbride a quarter of a mile away? Only the very edge of town.

Huge 'No Cycling' and 'No Pedestrians' signs next to the Redwood Drive shared footway. What is actually meant is that the Glasgow Southern Orbital road beyond the junction is restricted.

The Stewartfield Way cycleway takes a detour half way to the next roundabout at each of the Macivor Crescent junctions. It may even be quicker, although marginally longer, just to cycle round Macivor Crescent.

The Stewartfield Way cycleway crosses Macneish Way (which is the entrance to the Morrison's supermarket) here, but no help to cross this busy road, not even use of a central island due to where the dropped kerbs have been installed.

The Maxwellton Road underpass beneath Kingsway is unlit during daytime, apart from the skylight in the central reservation. A far cry from the neat conservation area on Maxwellton Road.

I'm not sure whether this kerb is dropped or not, but the path leads to the ramped footbridge across Kingsway to Burns Park.

A path signed as a cycle access to NCN756, but could do with being a little bit wider. The road at the top, Logie Park, is one way, but there is no sign to tell cyclists this.

The access to NCN756 is vulnerable to blockage by van parking at Glamis Drive.

NCN756 turns left to leave the railway path alignment, while the cycle route to Blantyre and Hamilton starts, but is only signed as going to East Mains. There's a sign for Hamilton up on Wilson Place.

An extremely narrow shared-use footway on the corner of Stoneymeadow Road and Whin Place.

The gap to the side of the gate would be easier to use if all the other debris was removed. There's another gate up next to the golf course club house, but all is neat and tidy there.
