The dropped kerb associated with the crossing from the NCN756 Mavor Avenue shared footway, necessary for southbound cyclists due to the blind bend at the Gateway junction, has been removed and replaced with a regular kerb.

A newly improved connection between Whitemoss Road and the Whitemoss Roundabout underpasses. But no direction signs for the cycle route nearby. The bin probably doesn't have to be located in the actual cycle track either.

The Mossneuk cycleway changes from unsegregated to line segregated path, although it isn't signed as such, for the final section to Newlands Road. The crossing footpath has priority over the cycleway.

The Mossneuk cycle route leaves Pitcairn Place to cross to the other side of Mossneuk Road just along from the bus stop.

The cycle route into East Kilbride crosses Glenburn Way, but ends at the next junction at #31505. Since this road is one-way, a sign to diagram 810 would be appropriate here to inform those crossing.

The cycle route from Blantyre crosses Wilson Place to join NCN756, but no mention of NCN756 on the signs. Also, if the markings barely fit on the pavement, the shared footway is probably too narrow.

The cycle signage now continues right along the path to Stewartfield.

The route finally arrives at the Brancumhall Estate, turning right off of Morrishall Road into Galloway Road.

The route to Brancumhall turns onto Morrishall Road. There was no indication that this route (which made its way along Calderwood Road on the footway) is not on-road along this section of fairly busy and fast road.

The original cycle track from the Whitemoss Roundabout joins Calderwood Road, but a new shared-use footway starts and continues to the Alison Lea Health Centre, from where there is a local cycle route extending to Brancumhall.

There's a 'give way' at each field access, but there's little chance you'll actually need to give way to anything. The new kerbs appear to be stuck onto the carriageway and have come adrift in some places.

The contraflow facility in King Street is provided by permitting cycling on the existing footway.

The solution to the Whistleberry gap was not to build a ramp to the steps next to the A725, but to sign the existing footway as a cycleway, with no widening at bus stops, just markings.

NCN74 crosses the entrance to a busy supermarket, which, being some distance from much local housing, is accessed mostly by car.

The route just ends at the traffic signals before the M74 off-ramp junction, with a Give Way into the Advance Stop Line. It's hard to see any logic as to when cycle facilities are provided here. Westbound it is to cross the off-ramp, with n ... [more]

Dalmarnock Bridge - the link between the road to the Cuningar Loop park and NCN75 Clyde Walkway - all fenced in with guardrail. If going on-road, the turn at #87965 does not have a dropped kerb.
