Lots of barriers on the southern side of the Queensway footbridge at Sudbury Crescent.

Is this the correct sign for a narrowing with barriers?

The way from the entrance to the cycle parking is blocked by a barrier, and the very narrow gap at the side is blocked by cones.

The only barriers I encountered on the Whitehills cycle route, and no signage to say whether the route goes straight ahead to the Queensway underpass or turns right along Strathcona Place towards the Murray Roundabout.

Barriers at the junction of two paths.

The continuity of Netherton Road (now a path) has been destroyed by the junction at Applegate Drive. Not even a dropped kerb at the end of the path (which has been slewed away from its original alignment).

Barriers on the paths either side of Newlandsmuir Road. Quite why East Kilbride's cycle route 1 doesn't go straight across and along the path ahead right through to Lonsdale Gait (avoiding the Greenhills Road roundabout) I don't know.

The path from Larchfield Drive is obstructed by barriers, then there is an uncontrolled crossing of the Cathkin Relief Road, and steps and a hair-pin path up to Fernhill.

Awkward barrier before railway bridge, so combined with the steps from Viewfield Avenue, I'd not be tempted to cycle this way on a regular basis.

While the Clyde Walkway isn't exactly an ideal cycle route, it is disappointing to see such an awkward barrier at the John St access in Blantyre.

The path ahead is blocked off where it meets Hallside Road, so the only option is left down some steps onto Walnut Gate.

A nice path from cul-de-sac spoilt by barriers across the end.

No real attempt to allow bike access to housing estate via path from main road, and quite narrow cycle lanes for a 40mph road.

Each of the entrances to Halfway Park has barriers across it and no dropped kerb, making it difficult for people on bikes to visit. Also, another sign for local primary schools, and car parking in the cycle lane.

I guess this may be temporary, but the park needs a gate that doesn't force anyone on a bike to mount the kerb.

The gate across the path through to New Douglas Park has a No Entry sign on it when the path is (presumably) not one-way. The shared use sign is used on a totally unsuitable footway, in a dead-end street.

Barriers across the path next to the unsignalised Glasgow Road crossing. Cyclists following the signed route cross and don't actually rejoin the carriageway. The distance of 3 miles to Hamilton is only slightly less than on a sign in ... [more]

NCN74 - barriers at side road crossing This must be the most pointless NCN infrastructure anywhere.
